Section 7: Professional Registration (Licensure)
The College has a duty to govern members’ conduct and asks the questions in Section 7 to help serve and protect children and families.
You must answer all questions in Section 7 of the General Application Form.
Below is background information about each question asked in Section 7. Click on the question to see additional information about it, including instructions about the supporting documents that must be submitted if you answer “yes” to the question.
1. Past or present registration/licensure in any profession in any jurisdiction
- An applicant may be, or have been, registered or licensed with another regulatory/licensing organization, either in Ontario or another jurisdiction. Such registration may or may not be related to the practice of early childhood education.
- Answer “yes” if you are, or were at any time, registered or licensed with another regulatory/licensing organization in any profession in any jurisdiction.*
- Provide all of the following information as requested in the form.
- The name of the profession for which you hold, or held, registration or licensure.
- The name of the regulatory/licensing organization with which you are, or were, registered or licensed.
- The province or state in which the regulatory/licensing organization is located.
- The country in which the regulatory/licensing organization is located.
- The dates of your registration or licensure with the regulatory/licensing organization.
- The date you made your request to the regulatory/licensing organization to have them complete the Proof of Professional Standing Form.
- You must make arrangements for the regulatory/licensing organization to complete and submit the Proof of Professional Standing Form.
- The Proof of Professional Standing Form must be sent directly from the regulatory/licensing organization to the College.
- The College will not accept the form if it comes from you or someone other than the regulatory/licensing organization.
- Provide all of the following information as requested in the form.
*I am, or have been, registered or licensed with more than one regulatory/licensing organization. How do I provide this information in the form?
- For each additional registration or licensure, provide the same details on a seperate piece of paper and include it in your application package.
- You must also make arrangements for each of these additional regulatory/licensing organizations to complete and submit theProof of Professional Standing Form to the College as described above.
2. Refusal of registration or licensure by a regulatory/licensing organization
- An applicant may have been refused registration or licensure with another regulatory/licensing organization, either in Ontario or another jurisdiction in any profession.
- Answer “yes” if, at any time, another regulatory/licensing organization refused to issue you registration or licensure.*
- Provide all of the following information as requested in the form.
- The name of the profession for which you were refused registration or licensure.
- The name of the regulatory/licensing organization that refused to issue you registration or licensure.
- The province or state in which the regulatory/licensing organization is located.
- The country in which the regulatory/licensing organization is located.
- The dates on which the regulatory/licensing organization refused to issue you registration or licensure.
- Provide all of the following information as requested in the form.
*I have been refused registration or licensure more than once. How do I provide this information in the form?
- For each refusal of registration or licensure, you must provide the same details on a seperate piece of paper and include it in your application package.
