Do you have a Recognition/Letter of Equivalency Certificate from the Association of Early Childhood Educators (AECEO) or the Association francophone à l’enfance de l’Ontario (Aféseo) issued prior to February 23, 2014?

As of January 1, 2023, the College will no longer accept Letters of Equivalency from the Association of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario (AECEO) or Association francophone à l’éducation des services à l’enfance de l’Ontario (L’AFESEO) as proof of meeting the education requirement for registration.

Applications that are incomplete or are missing required documentation will result in delays. Please double check your application before mailing it to the College to ensure your application is completed in full.

The College requires that applicants have an official transcript be mailed directly to the College by the educational institution. The transcript must bear the seal of the institution and be signed by the registrar or equivalent official.

Applications are processed with as they are received at the office. Processing times can vary depending on the complexity and completeness of the application. For a typical application that has been completed in full and includes all required documentation, processing time is usually between four to six weeks.
