Education Programs Currently Approved by the College of Early Childhood Educators ("the College")

​​​​​​​​​​Applicants who successfully complete an early childhood education (ECE) diploma from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology (OCAAT) meet the education requirement for registration. You can view a list of OCAATs here​.  ​​​​​​​​​​​

Graduates of programs listed below will be considered graduates of an approved program if the official transcript shows completion of program/graduation by the program end date.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must meet all the other registration requirements in order to be eligible for membership.​​

​Bachelor of Applied Science - Child, Youth and Family (Child Stream)

* The University of Guelph shall provide evidence to the College of Early Childhood Educators (the College), no later than September 1, 2019, that the Bachelor of Applied Science – Child, Youth and Family (Child Stream) program includes an additional 164 hours of field placement experience obtained through a formal course.

The University of Guelph shall provide the College with evidence that all 2019 graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Science – Child, Youth and Family (Child Stream) have obtained an additional 164 hours of field placement through a formal course or an alternate format that is acceptable to the College.​​​
